About Performance
Arlecchino was created by the legendary theatre and opera director Giorgio Strehler in 1947 and it is considered on one hand the definitive interpretation of commedia in the 20th century and, on the other hand, the Ambassador of Italian culture all over the world.
With three weddings, two duels, a dance number, a chase sequence, a love scene, a food fight and much more, Carlo Goldoni’s 18th century comedy is about a wily servant who gets the best of his masters in one of the classic works of commedia dell’arte.
